The single negative review on the old SA-CD site appears to be from someone who thinks this SACD is a trance album. Clueless individual. Without a doubt Dead Can Dance is probably sampled for trance or other dance genres, but this is far from what could be considered as "trance" as used in the popular lexicon.
In a nutshell everything is better on this MOFI SACD. Stunning is the best word to describe it. Bring this SACD and your high-end player with you when auditioning a new system as this is all that you need to judge everything from fast-bass, to imaging, to sound-stage, to transparency. This SACD is very revealing, so revealing that if you pay close attention you can hear a slight, and very brief overprint from the master on one of the tracks. (the 2nd IIRC) This does not at all take away from the experience, it just re-enforces the level of detail a properly mastered SACD can reveal.
