Even though this information about the recording format is a few years late, I still want to share it here. Both recordings, the Violin Concerto and the Triple Concerto, were done as 16-track recordings on 2-inch tapes (analog). Personally, given the relatively small orchestra compared to late Romantic works, I wouldn’t have guessed they used 16 tracks. This info comes from the Emil Berliner Studios website and was available under the “News” section for a while in early 2020.
