Why would one choose the SACD over the Bluray box? Any information on the recording sessions, like coding (PCM as DSD is highly unlikely), resolution, etc.

3 SACD hybrids (PCM 24bit / 96kHz to DSD, SA-CD Stereo / CD Audio)

You get both the SACD and Blu-ray though.

Universal (Japan) SACD are usually recorded in DSD direct from original analogue tapes and have been mostly excellent in SQ. A million times better sounding than any Blu-ray PCM recording but each to their own. If the original recordings were digital then forget it.

I received my SACD version last week (from Japan). That is true, but in this case we dealing with brand-new recordings, which most certainly were not made in the analogue domain.

Hello PaulSARenaud

Just wanted to ask you is this Japanese edition looks like European limited edition with book or not?

Thanks in advance

Comment by PaulSARenaud - November 21, 2021 (6 of 6)

The box looks identical to European release, except for the 3 CD's have been swapped with 3 Hybrid SACD's. And there is an OBI which is usually for Japanese releases
