According to the Tower records site this was released July 2023 and "using the 2020 DSD Master produced by Verve Label Group".

It has also been stated that this is the DSD file produced by Ryan K Smith during the same session he recently remastered the album for the Acoustic Sounds Verve Reissue Series, but I am unable to verify this.

Sounds very good whatever the provenance of the master used.

I have not heard the Oliver Nelson: The Blues and the Abstract Truth from 2010 which was mastered by Kevin Gray or the 2011 Japanese SHM http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/7428 which 'Analogue' spoke highly of, but they have both been consistently well regarded sonically.

Certainly this version is well worth getting if you don't already have a copy.

The artist of this record is not "Bill Evans et al" or a collective, it has always been Oliver Nelson, and it's unhelpful that those searching under his name will not find this new issue.
