Chris Bellman has done a good job on the mastering here.
There are grumbles in some quarters that the bass is not as strong as they would like, but this is essentially a ...
The Haydn would be great, re-done, but meanwhile I'm also still (for many years already!) awaiting for his Fidelio as well as his Tchaikovsky last three, which to my knowledge ...
A very risky venture to have remastered all of these recordings in the SACD format. The cost is prohibitive, will anybody buy them or indeed have the time to listen to every ...

Unexpectantly this SACD is a little bit of a step up from my 2011 CD version.
I have not heard the 2019 CD version though, so a pinch of salt is warranted!
Compared to the 2011 CD version, which has a disc runtime of 57:35, this SACD is slightly longer at 57:43. It is also given a phonographic copyright year of 2024. So, it's either a DSD'd version of the 2019 CD release (which has a phonographic copyright date of 2019) or it's a new master.
In common with the recent Allan Holdsworth SACD's the disk is also glass mastered & pressed by Sony DADC in Europe, rather than Japan.
It's a great album and certainly, this will be the one to get if you are in the market for a digital version of this title.
