This new Mofi sacd was a complete surprise to me.
A fabulous transfer and listen.
Mofi either has original master recording or mobile fidelity sound lab as info for the tape ...
No, it's stereo only, as you would expect from the date. A lovely transfer though and a clear step up from previous digital incarnations. Do a saved search on e-Bay and with a ...
How right you were, Breydon Music. It’s not a minor difference. Everything is now (in the Tower remaster) so much more open, transparent, delicate, and defined, and the ...
Chris Bellman has done a good job on the mastering here.
There are grumbles in some quarters that the bass is not as strong as they would like, but this is essentially a ...
A very risky venture to have remastered all of these recordings in the SACD format. The cost is prohibitive, will anybody buy them or indeed have the time to listen to every ...

Does anyone have any information on the record label that is issuing this release, IAC Music Japan?
Based on the research that I have done this appears to be an Japanese bootleg record label that according to the Discogs database has issued over 150 CD’s and SACD’s and of that number all are listed as “Unofficial Releases” with only about 25 not being labelled as such.
It seems pretty clear that IAC Music Japan is a bootleg record label so one has to wonder what source(s) are they using for the four Allan Holdsworth SACD releases. Most likely these will be sourced from the Manifesto Records CD remasters and simply be pressed and released on the SACD format which will yield zero audio benefits whatsoever.
If anyone has any additional info on IAC Music Japan or these upcoming Holdsworth SACD releases please leave a comment here to follow up.

I just received my SACD copy of this recording yesterday and I am pleased to report that this is indeed a 100% official release in addition to the other three Allan Holdsworth SACD titles that were also just released on IAC Music Japan.

Holdsworth’s classic I.O.U. album has finally arrived on the ultimate audio format… SACD!
Anyone that appreciates and loves Holdsworth’s music is going to want a copy of this album on SACD. This is without question THE definitive version of this album and is likely to never be surpassed in anyones lifetime sonically speaking. It’s all here: The high end, the bottom end the mids, all perfectly captured on the SACD audio format.
I have been listening to this album for over 40 years having originally purchased it on LP and then many CD reissued versions over the years. This SACD puts every other version to shame, there simply is no comparison…
Buy it before it goes out of print!
