Performance-wise, this is my favorite Schumann cycle. And I'm not a big fan of these symphonies, but Sawallisch makes them not just listenable, but thrilling. There was a fine EMI SACD release of these in the past.

Summed up my feelings about the Scumann symphonies exactly although I am unfamiliar with this particular cycle.
I can no longer recall which maestro dismissed them as "light and trite" but his words have long since resonated with my own listening experience.
