Hello;
This release was a welcome one. Traditionally the first track seems to overshadow the other ones, with good reason, but as a whole this album is truly a classic.

Hello:
I took a chance and purchased this version of Tommy.
I will keep this review short suffice it to say that as with Live at Leeds.....I was not overly impressed. I do believe that this sacd is better that the former.
The overall sound is pushed back and there is not much in the way of a three dimensional sound field. I also found the mixing a tad wonky. The site I purchased this sacd from stated that it was from the original masters but the back of the disc states otherwise.
For comparisons sake I compared this to my 2012 Shm Sacd and there is simply no comparison. My goodness...........the Japanese transfer is light years ahead of this new disc.
This of course is my opinion and others might have a different one...........so hopefully there might be some other reviews coming. I do enjoy the differences. I like to read what others have determined whilst listening.
I'm going to stop short of any talk of conspiracy theories.
So if you want to take a chance be my guest and please issue your own reviews.
Cheers,
Analogue
P.S. Don't know if I should take a chance with My Generation as that was also released.
