According to the inlay card the 5.1 Surround Sound layer based on possibly the original multi-channel digital master tapes, recorded in 24-bit / 44,1 kHz high-resolution PCM (worth to note the same resolution BIS was using before turning to its current 24-bit / 96 kHz). Has anyone listened to this one in surround? Despite dozens of Mahler 4ths out there on SA-CD I have considered to purchase this one, although it’s only available as a second hand copy on a reasonable price...
