I hear a prominent trumpet in the Choral at the end of BWV 167 on this SACD, but the SACD booklet does not include a trumpet (or Clarino) in the list of parts. The score specifies a Clarino. Was there just an oversight in preparing the booklet?

You are right. I have it and I hear it as well. But the booklet is right, too, insofar as the official scoring is concerned (2 Ob, Odc, 2 Vn, Va, Bc). The conductor, Eric Milnes, must have added it for extra weight without telling anyone.

It seems as though we are looking at different scores. I was looking at the Wüllner edition (1887) that I downloaded from IMSLP.
