I know this is an old SACD - but what a stunner! Every one of Hewitt's SACDs I've heard is a treasure, so I've ordered the lot of 'em, irrespective of price or repertory duplication.

Absolutely agree with you Stephen, and the shame is that if you dip a toe into Hyperion's Hewitt CD's expecting more of the same you will be sorely disappointed in audio terms. Some years ago I bought her Bach box. Notwithstanding her musicianship I found it so disappointing that it long ago left my collection. Hyperion's facile treatment of SACD is one of the sadder episodes in the medium's history.
