I recently finished listening to this set. I'm a bit disappointed, I must say. The performance is superb, that's not the problem. I've owned this on the original EMI "Great Recordings of the Century" RBCD for several years now and I don't find the sound of the SACD version to be that much of an improvement over the version I already had. The RBCD version still had some surface noise and it's now mostly gone with the SACD version. But that's about it. I find the sonics of the actual music have been only marginally improved. I expect more when I buy an SACD (which can easily cost three times the price of the corresponding RBCD). If a blinded experiment were done with a passage from my RBCD that happens not to have any surface noise and the same passage on the SACD version, I suspect I would be hard put to tell which is which. But it might be that my ear just isn't "golden" enough, though.

Best version is from Opus Kura, beat this SACD hands down.
