A limited edition 4-SACD set on Tower Definition Serie released in 2021 (not yet listed on this site) includes the Richter/Kleiber recording of the Dvořák concerto. On the Tower SACD the Dvořák has different timings than the version on Dvořák, Grieg, Schumann: Piano Concertos - Richter, Matačić, Kleiber, and the channels are reversed on the EMI version. Either the SACDs were not mastered from the same source, or a different approach to signal processing was used in the mastering chain. Aside from the correction of the channel reversal on the Dvořák concerto, the Tower set generally has better sound quality, with the exception of the Grieg and Schumann concertos. Those recordings, through my system, sound nearly identical on the EMI and Tower SACD releases and on Grieg, Schumann: Piano Concertos - Richter, Matačić.
