These six discs recorded by Igor Tchetuev would have been part of the finest Beethoven sonatas recording venture of all time had Caro Mitis not stopped physical disc manufacture in 2013 (or so). Stunning, magisterial playing in simply THE best piano sound ever recorded, bar none (requires a full-range SACD multichannel system to be appreciated).
